Installation Concept
Building Home offers a glimpse into the world of youth housing. You are welcomed to walk through life-sized structures and immerse yourself in what youth have highlighted as impactful elements of their housing journeys. Youth are taking charge of their narratives and sharing what they feel is important for their communities to know about the experiences of housing precarity in Saint John. Learn about the housing challenges that influence youth and the solutions that are available to them. This project signals the importance youth have in our communities, and our commitment to build better futures for young people across the province.
By tying together art, research, and advocacy, we are working together to gain a deeper understanding of what experiences can be involved in searching for adequate housing for youth. We are all grateful to be able to be a part of this project and support efforts to bring these ideas to the forefront of our provincial conversations.
Looking forward to seeing you in Miramichi, September 10th-17th!
